Problems & Solutions

Bored with your normal 60 Second presentation?
Why not try a new style?

This particular format was described once at a free Barclays networking event and works a treat:)

Step 1: Who You Are - but with a twist!

Say who you are and your company name but don’t give your title, in other words don’t say ‘I’m an Accountant / Web Designer / Travel Agent’.

Instead…

Step 2: Who You Work With - Identify a problem

Say ‘And I work with people who…’  and then start with a problem people have, such as ‘people who are struggling to find the right destination for their next holiday’.

Step 3: And What I do Is - Resolve their problems!

Say ‘And what I do is…’  and then state how you resolve their problems, for example… ‘take away all their hastle and stress by finding them the ideal country and the perfect resort and hotel that suits them down to the ground and fulfills all their dreams for their perfect holiday. Going on a holiday is then a fun and relaxing experience from start to finish - just as it should be!

Step 4: What are You Looking For? - More people with the same problem so you can resolve their problems too!

Say ‘And what I want to do is help more people who are getting stressed struggling to find their perfect holiday…because I know I can help them find the best possible holiday for their specific needs and they will have the best holiday they have ever had!

Step 5: Who You Are Again - And how you want them to contact you.

Finish by saying who you again and your company name and how you want people to find out more and contact you.

And thats it!  As long as it is 60 seconds long that is…and that’s over to you to practise it and time it.

Steps 1, 2 and 3 are great to use when you are meeting people in open network or any business situation when you introduce yourself and people ask you what you do.

Hope it works well for you too!
